The wedding of Rob & Annabelle took place at Combe Manor, Hungerford on Saturday 1st September 2012 in yet more sunshine! Having made the trip down from Oxford after friday’s wedding I was already quite familiar with Combe Manor having photographed Rob & Annabelle at a pre-shoot in June. You can see an excerpt here. The lead up to this wedding had been quite hectic as Rob had been away with army duties and taking a number of exams, so it was as almost as though the wedding was unusually a very unstressed experience. I have an idea that they were actually just a very calm and relaxed couple, or expert at concealing anything else. Having had the pre shoot helped the feeling of informality and made it an enjoyable experience for me too, as we were much more used to each others’ company. Combe Manor is set in the most beautiful countryside and the church next door (whilst very tiny) is one of the sweetest, intimate environments for a wedding service. The best man had brilliantly organised to “forget” the rings which were then rushed down the aisle by a page boy. The barns which have been lovingly converted by David & Mary Russell (more info here) are a cracking venue and boast huge space both inside and out and were fantastically decorated by Jane the florist.
