The Wedding Of Martin & Angelina took place at St Peter’s Italian Church, Clerkenwell and The Old Finsbury Town Hall, London on Saturday 23rd June 2012. Angelina and her bridesmaids got ready at the snazzy Bermondsey Square Hotel, where Sam Norman (who I had worked with 24 hours earlier) was again on styling detail. Angelina looked fantastic and had a wonderful retro look that looked stunning throughout the day. Martin & Angelina got married in a traditional Italian service in one of the larger churches I have shot in in London. The priest was a real character and had most of the congregation laughing within minutes. The decor of the building was most impressive particularly as it was just a few paces off a pavement in an otherwise unremarkable area of Clerkenwell. Angelina and the girls got ready in the very stylish Bermondsey Square Hotel and were driven to the church in fantastic Ambassador Indian cabs, with wonderful authentic Indian upholstery. I own an original Delhi tuktuk, so these I was keen to check out! After a short double decker bus ride to Old Finsbury Town Hall the real partying got under way. There was a buzz about this wedding and the guests were definitely up for a big night. I’m sure the Photobooth saw some characters by the end. One tradition I had not come across before was the banging of glasses by guests to get the couple to kiss. This was instigated on several occasions throughout the afternoon and resounded in the huge impressive hall where everyone was seated. We had a chance to take a walk through Exmouth Market and both Martin & Angelina’s style I think really suited the backdrop and again was a chance for them both to get a few moments together before joining everyone for a great night.
