Copse Country House Wedding Photographer | Adam & Suzy

Adam & Suzy had flown back over to the UK from Boston USA to get married amongst family and friends at the beautiful Copse Country House in the Chiltern Hills. In fact making your way to the venue you would be forgiven for thinking you were definitely lost. The opportunity to be a Copse Country House Wedding Photographer was one I was thrilled to have. You literally have no idea of the wonderful spot that is about to unfold once you’re through the gates. I imagine anyone who has ever been to Copse Country House feels it’s their very own special secret.

The vibe in the house as everyone got ready was incredibly relaxed and I knew that both Adam & Suzy would be a lovely couple to photograph from the moment we had met. After a a slightly gloomy start, the weather started to brighten up as the make-up was applied and as soon as the ceremony got under way the sun shone. Guests were sat on hay bales for the ceremony conducted by a friend of the couple whilst everyone sang Bob Marley’s “Is This Love” – utterly brilliant! After a raucus confetti tunnel, the plan was to set off some coloured flares (which we had tested the week before!) and so we set about doing this at the same time as doing a mass group shot over the lake. I love the vibrancy of the final image.

After 3 hilarious and moving speeches Suzy suprised Adam by singing a song to him accompanied by a friend on guitar. I always encourage Brides and partners to speak at weddings if they’re thinking about it, but have never heard the bride sing at a wedding before and she nailed it! The evening began with a first dance by one of the smiliest couples I have photographed. The day was a total joy from start to finish and Suzy and the girls clearly owned the dance floor long into the night!
