Reportage Wedding Photography

Wedding photography has changed beyond recognition over the last ten years and reportage wedding photography is rapidly becoming one of the most popular styles. Couples today certainly want pictures that capture the formal aspects of such an important day but more than that, they want their wedding photographer to capture the essence of those magical moments caught in the blink of an eye. Reportage wedding photography is all about capturing all those magical moments which collectively tell the story of the day.

If you think reportage wedding photography is for you, it is important that you find a photographer who has the ability to capture both the formal and the informal moments at their very best because without both the day is lost. Many photographers who claim to be reportage wedding photographers simply do not have the mix of skills to deliver both styles.

I have a genuine passion for reportage wedding photography and over the past 15 years I have built up an enviable reputation for this style of work. I hope that will become apparent as you look through examples of my work on this web site. Reportage wedding photography is about capturing the love and the emotion of the moment – and telling that story, your story, through those images.

In order to make sure I capture every aspect of one of the most important days in your life I provide a full day’s wedding shoot lasting 8 hours. I will happily tailor the times to suit your particular day if you have something different in mind. Most couples prefer that I provide a document of the whole day, capturing all the key moments, from the preparations early on right through to the ceremony, the reception and of course the party. As a reportage wedding photographer I see my job to provide all the pictures you would naturally expect of the day and an equal number of photographers that you don’t that will excite and delight you from the first moment you see them. Caught up in the moment, many couples say to me that the first time they really saw the day in it’s entirety was when they received the photographs.

You will get to see a minimum of at least 450 images of your wedding. These images are delivered to you in a DVD slideshow movie, accompanied by both music and audio excerpts from the speeches. It’s a really fabulous way to see your photographs for the very first time – allowing you both to re-live the wonderful but fleeting moments of your wedding day but also experience so many of the moments that took place around you.  You also receive your images as high resolution computer files on your own usb stick so that you can organise any reprints without having to pay high premiums. Every photograph I deliver is individually adjusted and treated in post production to the highest possible standards. You will have your own web gallery to view and guests are also able to purchase prints directly via an additional password protected online ordering service. Each wedding has its own unique online code to access the gallery.

After you have received your collection, you can choose from a variety of beautiful leather or cotton covered albums, hardback books, canvases, frames and prints. Bespoke ‘Thank You’ cards can also be supplied using a chosen image from the day. You can see more information on these products here.
